Speech for the way
India talks
Dhvni makes text to speech and speech to text for Hindi, English and the mix of the two that most Indian users actually speak. Dhvni (ध्वनि) means sound.
Why Dhvni exists
Listen to a student ask a question in class, and the sentence switches language halfway through:
सर, mitochondria को powerhouse क्यों कहते हैं?
Most speech engines expect one language per sentence. Give them Hindi with an English word in the middle and the voice picks up the wrong accent, or the transcript comes back in the wrong script. Dhvni is built for those sentences, in both directions.
What we hold to
Consent first
Every cloned voice belongs to a real person. We build one only after that person has agreed, and we keep the record of how they agreed.
Hindi and English together
Hindi stays in Devanagari and English terms stay in English letters, in the same sentence, in speech and in transcripts.
Priced in rupees
Rates and invoices are in rupees with GST, so Indian teams know exactly what a month of usage costs.
